At Fitting Room, your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle image and store data through our Shopify theme app extension, which functions as a virtual try-on widget.

1. Information We Collect

We collect and process the following:

User-Uploaded Image: The photo provided by the shopper to generate a try-on preview.

Product Image: Clothing product images retrieved directly from the merchant’s product page.

Store Information: Basic store details (e.g., store name, store email, store domain) required for app operation.

Usage Data: Anonymous, non-personal data used for feature usage tracking and service improvements.

2. How We Use This Information

We use the above data to:

Generate a virtual try-on preview for the shopper in real time.

Deliver an intuitive, lightweight widget experience.

Maintain app functionality and resolve technical issues.

Analyze anonymized usage data to improve the widget experience.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data transmissions are secured using modern encryption protocols.

Uploaded user photos and product images are deleted immediately after the try-on session is complete.

The resulting generated image (the try-on preview) is stored temporarily on our server and deleted at the end of each calendar month.

We do not sell or share any identifiable user or merchant data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share personal data with third parties.

We may share anonymized, aggregated metrics (e.g., number of try-ons) for analytical purposes.

We only disclose data if legally required.

5. Data Retention

User-uploaded images and clothing product images are deleted immediately at the end of each try-on session.

The generated try-on images are stored securely and purged monthly.

Merchants may request deletion of any retained data at any time by emailing me at martin@fittingroomofficial.com.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request access or correction to your store data

Request deletion of any retained try-on images

Withdraw data processing consent at any time
